Like many pet parents, we thought we were doing the right thing by buying premium canned food and supermarket treats. But one day, after actually reading the ingredient list, we were shocked — preservatives, grains, fillers, and cuts of meat we’d never expect in a “chicken” product. That was the lightbulb moment that made us start questioning what we were really feeding our pets.
Our Tail-Wagging Journey
into Pet Parenthood
In 2022, Buddy burst into our lives — a Labrador x Golden Retriever with endless energy and a habit of leaping straight into our arms. Training quickly became part of daily life, and we went searching for the right treats to support reward-based learning. Instead, we found shelves filled with thick, preservative-heavy meat slices or low-quality filler blends that didn’t meet our standards.
Crafting Quality Pet Treats at Floof
Determined to give Buddy the best start, we began crafting our own treats — thin, clean, single-ingredient slices made for training. What started as a solution for one pup soon evolved into a passion.
Paws and Whiskers Approved
Two years later, our family grew again when Peanut joined the pack. With two Labradors to train (and Garfield and Sneakers still happily prowling around), the demand for high-quality, healthy rewards was bigger than ever. We refined our process, sourcing human-grade Australian meats and pairing them with certified organic produce to create wafer treats our dogs loved — and to our surprise, the cats couldn’t resist them either!
